COVID-19 Updates

Wednesday, April 8

To all of our CRUST Wholesale Partners –

It does not feel like Easter week for sure. No special bakes and order forms. Severely curtailed delivery routes. We’re baking at CRUST, but with fewer selections than previous Easters.

We continue to juggle our bake schedules and ordering process in attempts to squeeze possible efficiencies.  As of now our small staff is healthy and working hard … longing for the day that our entire staff is back and working like in days past.

There’s still a lot of uncertainty on just when things will be back to normal. We continue to apply for all the federal and state loans/grants that the government talks about, but as of today we have not received any relief.

Wishing you all a happy Easter Week!

Sincerely,

Here are some additional precautionary steps we are now taking to combat the spread of Covid-19 “Coronavirus” and ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees in all of our businesses:

  • At the top and bottom of every hour, the manager will ask every employee to stop and wash their hands and change their gloves.
  • At the top and the bottom of every hour, a designated person will bleach all door handles, door frames and commonly used surfaces.
  • We will be increasing our pre-packaged items in our retail/bakery department for the next two weeks.

To our valued customers and partners:

As we all know, COVID-19 “Coronavirus” has been challenging the world over the last several weeks and now is considered a global pandemic.

I want to personally reach out to our customers to inform you of what we are doing to contribute to stopping the spread of this disease.  We have been monitoring the situation closely, taking proactive and precautionary measures to ensure our operations remain consistent and safe.  Our employees have been briefed on the symptoms of the virus, given detailed tips on prevention and instructed to stay home in the event they should feel sick or believe they may have been exposed.  We will continue to update our employees and change practices as deemed necessary by state and local authorities.

You can keep up to date with the current steps we are taking by visiting our website, crustwholesale.com

At this time, we do not foresee any delays in production to our wholesale customers, or changes in our delivery schedules.

I strongly recommend and encourage our wholesale customers to begin monitoring their individual needs on a day-to-day basis.  Many of you are using the standing order feature of our online ordering system.  It is important to note that once your orders have been placed we cannot cancel them once the cutoff time (2 days prior to the desired delivery date at 11:00 am) has passed.  Therefore if you begin to see a loss of foot traffic/sales, you may want to place  your orders manually each day to limit your risk of extra waste.  Again, I appreciate your individual decisions on how you will be ordering (standing order or manual). However I just wanted to take this opportunity to aid you in your decision making process.

With the quickly evolving global situation, we will continue to communicate promptly in the event of any unforeseen circumstances that may affect our normal business operations.

Be Safe, Stay Healthy
